We have a new modality, sharing the course, refreshment posts, cut-off times, etc. with the ULTRA modality.
ULTRA SIERRA NEVADA R3LEVOS will share the route, refreshment posts, cut-off times, etc. with the ULTRA modality.
The ULTRA SIERRA NEVADA R3L3VOS will start the first relay at 22:00 on the night of Friday 5th April in a spectacular setting: the centre of the city of Granada at the foot of the Alhambra and the Generalife Monumental Complex. From there the route will lead participants to the Dehesa del Generalife and, after continuing along the Darro river basin, to the village of Beas. From here the route takes the direction of Quéntar where the first relay will take place and from where the second relay of the team will start, to then head towards the town of Pinos Genil. The course of the Genil River marks the start of the most demanding section of the race: the climb to Sierra Nevada. 40 kilometres in which it will be necessary to overcome a difference in altitude of more than 2,500 metres to reach the top of the race at the foot of the Pico Veleta at 3,100 metres altitude. Before that, at the El Dornajo refreshment post, the second relay will take place and the third and last relay of the team will set off in the direction of the Veleta. From the Veleta, a vertiginous descent will lead to the finish line at the Pradollano ski resort, at an altitude of 2,100 metres, where the three members of the team will enter together.
Maximum 100 teams
* In the event that the track along which the race runs between Pradollano – Estadio Superior – Pradollano is completely covered with snow, this last section can be done by the three members of the team.
Otherwise, as it is a natural area, according to the regulations of the Natural Park, this section can only be done by the member of the team to whom it corresponds until reaching the ski resort again where the 3 members will join to enter the finish line.

The runners will have to return to Granada by their own means.
The withdrawn runners will be transferred to Granada (start of the Ultra) at the end of the refreshment area. Those who want to go to Pradollano will have to wait for the first bus leaving from that point.

There will be generalized and/or random material controls at any point along the route. Failure to wear any of these items will result in the immediate invalidation of the race bib.
It is also allowed the use of spiked mountain shoes specific for ice and snow races (with built-in spike system).
Upper clothing (It is not mandatory to run with it):
Lower clothing. 1-2 layers (It is not mandatory to run with it):
Every participant of the ULTRA, ULTRA R3L3VOS and TRAIL may deliver two bags, delivered by the organization when removing the bib number, with whatever material they consider they may need. One bag will be at the refreshment station established in the town of Pinos Genil and the other bag will go to the Pradollano refreshment station, before the climb, and then to META.
Both bags are delivered to the Cloakroom located at the Exit before entering the Exit Drawer.
Only bags delivered by the organization that are already identified with the bib number and place of destination will be accepted.
The bag transported by the organization to the CP, Pinos Genil, will be transported to the goal wardrobe once used in Pinos Genil.
The material must be, as we have commented, in the bag provided by the organization.
Due to the great climatological difference that exists between the different sections of the Ultra Sierra Nevada route and the impossibility of knowing for sure the time it will be during the test, the mandatory equipment indicated will be MANDATORY from start to finish.
Except for CRAMPONS and WATERPROOF TROUSERS (distance ULTRA/ULTRA R3L3VOS) that can be left in the Life Bag to pick up in Pradollano.
It may seem excessive but in the mountains you never know what could happen and in the event of an accident this material is vital.
The organisers have also planned a FREE shuttle bus service for all runners finishing in Pradollano and wishing to go to Granada, which will connect Pradollano with Granada, where the Ultra Sierra Nevada starts.
The timetables of the shuttle bus service are as follows
